Sent: Tuesday, November 02, 1999 8:32 AM Subject: T+12, Morning Special Report Today's blood counts indicate that my white cells are indeed increasing, and the 0.3 reading for yesterday was not just a statistical fluke. Today's reading is 1.2. This has not been confirmed by the docs, but if the white cells are really increasing, it means that the graft has taken root in my marrow spaces, and are beginning to actively producing new blood cells. The readings are a long way from normal ranges, but are going in the right direction. I have attached my version of the blood cell count file found through the web site. The link in the site to the graph was not active this morning, and the site manager is not available today to work on it. This graph is an Excel spreadsheet, which most of you should be able to open. It includes lines for the white cells, hemoglobin, hematocrit and platelets. Also included is my total kilometers walked since coming here, which stands at 20.8 as of yesterday. I am feeling great right now, with both my mouth sores and throat pain decreasing. This may be due to the increased white cell counts. We are on alert for signs of the graft versus host disease.
