GUIDELINES FOR VISITORS

For those of you who would like to visit Dave in the hospital,
I would like to request that you instead continue to send email.

His immune system is completely depleted, and the slightest infection
could be deadly for him.  I know he has extended invitations, but it's
better if you postpone your visits for another four weeks, or wait until
he's out of the hospital and in the apartment near the hospital.  Due to the
possibility of the presence of bacteria, mold, or fungus, no fresh or dried
flowers are allowed in the transplant unit, as well as no fruit baskets or
candy.  He has requested that you make contributions to a fund to cover
medical expenses for a young girl who had to undergo a heart transplant.
